A Location with a historical front building: the front building with side wing was severely damaged in the Second World War and significantly redesigned in the 1950s. With architect Claus Schuh, Euroboden decided on its thorough renovation, while the rear building was demolished and replaced by a modern new building with a 2-story underground parking garage. Through restrained densification, 2,150 sqm of living space for 23 apartments could be created.

Due to the southern orientation of the extension, well-lit apartments could be created in the courtyard despite high density. In collaboration with Maier Neuberger Projekte GmbH from service phase 5 onwards, a harmonious overall picture of old and new was created with larger and more efficient residential units. The previously sealed inner courtyard areas were greened. The City of Munich honored the project with an honorary award for good housing construction.

Special challenge of the project: "like a bolt from the blue," my takeover of the construction project as project manager and owner's representative in 2014 in the middle of the already severely delayed construction process and shortly before the due completion with the task to save what could be saved.
